CAPTIVE ASSOCIATION
ORGANIZATIONAL SUPPORT
In 2003
Utah
became the 18th State
to pass legislation in support of Self-Insurance Captive Laws.
In 2004 the
UTAH
Legislation updated and modernized the Captive Law showing the
Utah
Governments commitment to the Business of Insurance and the formation of
Alternative Risk options to the standard Commercial Insurance option.
The
Utah
Captive Association has been organized by Business Leaders in
Utah
to advertise and support this effort. |
2006 Organization Meeting Report
In January and April 2006 the
Charter Members of the
Utah
Captive Association met to determine how each of the separate Professional
Industries might best support the combined efforts of the
Utah
Captive Association. The members
agreed, a unique opportunity has been presented.
With the support of the
Utah
Business Development Office and specifically the
UTAH
Technology
Alliance
Division, the Captive Association believes 2006-2007 will be exciting.
